Lumber Grader

Graf Brothers Flooring, Inc. is in search of an experienced Lumber Grader for their South Shore, KY location.  The qualified candidate will be NHLA trained or have equivalent knowledge.  Candidate will possess the ability to accurately apply NHLA rules and have a minimum of one (1) year experience grading green and/or kiln dried domestic lumber.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Grade and mark all lumber to be sorted according to NHLA rules/guidelines and industry standards
  • Communicate effectively with your team and other departments
  • Adhere to all safety policies and perform tasks in a safe and responsible manner

 

Job Type: Full-Time

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience grading green and/or kiln dried domestic lumber
  • Must be NHLA trained or have equivalent knowledge.
  • Must be physically capable of performing all duties of the job and any other duties assigned by Crew Leader.

Inventory Control Specialist

Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for oversight of raw materials inventory, data review, and supervision of incoming raw materials and consumptions. The candidate will have an acute attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to multi-task.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordinating of inventory according to incoming orders.
  • Manage inventory, resolve discrepancies, and generate reports.
  • Own appropriate departmental processes and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
  • Recommends changes for process improvement to increase efficiency and productivity within the team and/or overall organization
  • Work collaboratively with accounting and purchasing departments.

 

Skills & qualifications

  • Must be computer literate including but not limited to; Outlook, Excel, Word & Access
  • Previous experience in with Inventory control, preferred not required.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a good employment history of training, decision making, and efficiency.
  • Ability to perform tasks consistently and accurately.
  • Must have strong math and problem solving skills.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, energetic and able to multi-task
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Must have a valid drivers license
